COMPANY BOARDS
The use of company boards is a very traditional method of extending the length of the table.

The main advantage of company boards is that the strength of the table top and base is maintained. The company boards can add 14 inches to each end of a table.

Summer

The Breadboard End is a long narrow piece of wood attached to the end of a table top perpendicular to the grain. This end helps keep the top flat while providing a finished appearance. The table top may shrink in the winter when the air is dry and expand in the summer when the air is humid.
